How to Connect Facebook and Twitter
UPDATE: This feature is no longer available. We recommend you use a scheduling platform such as hootsuite.com, later.com or buffer.com to schedule out to multiple social media platforms.
It is actually VERY easy to connect your Facebook account to post automatically to your Twitter account. I had a call with one of my clients today and she had NO idea that this was possible inside of Facebook. When I walked her through how simple it was she couldn’t believe it. I thought it would be a great topic to share if you did not already know how to do this. It will literally take you one minute – super easy I promise!
How to Connect Facebook to Twitter:
Step 1: Login to your Twitter & Facebook accounts.
Step 2: Visit https://facebook.com/twitter
Step 3: Look for where it says “Link Your Pages to Twitter” vs your profile.
Step 4: Next to the page you want to link to Twitter click the link to Twitter button.
Step 5: It will take you to this screen below – click on the blue authorize app link.
Step 6: It will redirect you back to Facebook and say “Your Facebook Page is now linked to Twitter.”
DONE!
Do you need to have a Twitter account?
You may be wondering well do I even need to have a Twitter account. And the answer is of course not but I recommend it. And I recommend at the very least you connect your Facebook posts to Twitter automatically using the steps above.
Twitter is free and is one more place to find your prospects! I have had two new web clients who specifically found me on Twitter…and I am not as good as I should be with using Twitter effectively. For the most part, I just have my Facebook posts go directly to Twitter.
I hope this was helpful to you! If you’d like more help with your internet marketing and are ready to hire someone to help you, be sure to set up a consultation here to see if we’d be a good fit.
